My Pride And Joy
My much better half, Lottie, has made it to the short list for Best Newcomer at the Irish Blog Awards for her site, The National Lottie. I couldn’t be more proud.
I am so lucky that when I first buried my head in the blogging world a year ago, she did not slag me off for being a nerd (okay, she did a bit) and she did not give out that I was spending too much time online. Instead, she held my hand and jumped in head first with me. In this past year, I have learned so much more about her, things I may never have discovered had she not had this wonderful creative outlet. Her words and thoughts have been inspiring and funny and I’ve loved reading it all.
Congratulations to Lottie and fingers crossed you’ll bring home the Best Newcomer Bloggie.
You know, I’m worried though – Tomy’s in there, and he’s awful cute. That whole 1 year old gimmick, good publicity. If I was cynic, I’d say it would be a stategic move to award him…
AND she’s hot.
Some people just have it all…
GO LIZ!
Awwwww congrats miss Lottie – it’s so so so deserved!
I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you 😀
Post number 4 of good luck and best wishes on blogs today 😉
All the very best to ya 🙂
outta the 5 on the list, I’d definitely vote for thenationallottie. not stuff I’m pushed about most the time, but can see the large amount of work put in and the bits that I do read are generally very good.
outside/in is brilliant but I don’t like counting professional ones/ones ran by newspapers, etc
jo: you’re not the first person to have thought that, Tommy seems great and all… but I was thinking Darragh’d be a shoo-in until that odd March 15th rule was brought in.
PS. I see they’ve applied the after 15th March rule after all too, was annoying me that it was being ignored.
EDIT-one of them started in march 2007 actually 😀
You guys are too damn cute…
