Dr. Gregory House
I may have mentioned Hugh Laurie‘s House M.D. before. It’s a US TV show where Laurie plays the head of the diagnostic department in a training hospital. Each week, he and his team must find out what ails this week’s patient before they die. It’s very formulaic, but the characters are so strong and funny that it doesn’t matter. It really is one of the best shows on TV at the moment and has developed a considerable fan base. One of dem did this:
Oo, that’s excellent.
‘One of whom’, surely. I mean, I know Xbox is a fan, but they’re mostly human, right?
That is class!
I need to get in to House. I watched a few of them when I was in Barcelona (of all places) and I definitely thought I could learn to like it.
I’ve already abused you over on the Blog Pound, so i’m just gonna be pedantic here and say its “one of WHOM”, not “one of which”.
Oh, now I see that Jo already pointed that out. Fix it dude, some of us get upset by such things.
The whole show hangs on Hugh Laurie, if he didn’t get the role it would’ve been a completely different show.
Most the side characters work well with him but EVERYTHING revolves around him.
Always annoys me that there’s shows like House MD with huge mainstream appeal around, yet RTE choose to air every type of CSI on a constant basis instead.
@Jo @ Andrew Gits, the pair of you.
@Annie Go buy the first five series. Then book a week off work and enjoy.
@B’Dum Very true. It’s his show and I can’t see anyone else in the roll. I loved the last season with the Reality TV type format. Satirical and hysterical.
Andrew, I think I’m starting to love you.
I’m tempted to smash my leg to bits to be more like him.
@Xbox If you need some help with that, let me know. I was thinking of just taking loads of Vicodin…
I carry around a tub of zinc supplements just so I can stop mid conversation with a customer and throw back a couple.
Ahhh thats fantastic !
Great to see it from the start on TV3 last night 😀
